About the photographer
Evan Thompson creates bold, colorful, emotional, and vibrant photographs with a focus on the human experience. As a staff photographer for the California Bluegrass Association, Strawberry Music Festival, and Walker Creek Music Camp, he’s known for capturing the decisive moment.
Thompson explores photographic ambiguity, allowing meaning to emerge through perception rather than explanation. His images invite viewers to engage with the whole of a moment, discover what resonates for them, and experience it in a way that draws them beyond the visual and into a sense of living vicariously.
He completed a two-year photography program and earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) with distinction.
This photograph was taken by my daughter, Kendall Thompson. It reflects my identity and explores the human experience through composition and light.
